Module Introduction - Why should you expect to get back more than you lend? Becuse if you had not lent the money, you could have used it to do other things; hence you rewuire some returns to compensate for what you gave up. The underlying basis of Time Value of Money is that time has value. That is, a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow.
